Run a report

Try it

Runs one report over a day, a month or a range of business days, raw or as the page prints it.

GEThttps://tablebuddy.radioworkflow.com/api/v1/reports/{report_id}
ReadCosts 5 units

For a person-readable answer, send view=display: the values as the page prints them, each table's data rows (at most 200) with its totals line apart.

Each report takes only the parameters its span uses: a day report day; a month report month; a range report from and to together, or range (today, yesterday, 7d, 30d, month, lastMonth, 90d or year); a report of right now nothing; and any report view. Leave them out for the report's own default. Days are business days in the restaurant's time zone, at most 366 days back and never in the future; from and to may be at most 366 days apart, and a to after today is clipped to today. span says which days were used. list-reports names each report's parameters.

view=raw (the default) answers result: headline figures, at most one chart, tables and notes, values raw (money in minor units, days as keys, instants as ISO strings), with the report's own camelCase keys. view=display answers title, span_label, stats, tables and notes as the report's page prints them. A display table's rows are its data rows, stopping at 200 (truncated says when more exist, and total_rows counts them all); the totals line the page prints under them is the table's totals, never a row, so summing a column over rows counts nothing twice.

Sales count orders on the day they were opened; collections count money on the day it moved, so the two do not match, and each report's notes say how it counted. Report 24, Labor, needs payroll:read on the key as well: without it the report answers 404 not_found, as any report the key may not see.

Authentication

Key
Authorization: Bearer <key>, or the same key in x-api-key. A key acts as the person who made it, cut down to this endpoint’s scope, and never as an owner. How keys work

The error’s code, the same as error.code in the body.

Errors

403insufficient_scope
The key does not carry the endpoint's scope.

Fix: Scopes are fixed when a key is made: make a new key with the scope.

403issuer_access_ended
The key's creator has left the restaurant, was suspended, or was removed and invited back.

Fix: Make a new key from an active account.

403issuer_permission_changed
The key's creator no longer holds any permission that could put this scope on a key.

Fix: Ask an owner to restore the permission, or make a new key from an account that holds it.

403permission_required
The key's permissions for this endpoint (its creator's, cut down to the endpoint's scope) do not include what this endpoint, or this argument, needs. The message names it.

Fix: Use a key with the named scope, from a creator who holds the named permission.

404not_found
A report this key may not see: Labor (labor) without payroll:read on the key, or made by someone without Pay rates and payroll.

Fix: Use a key that also carries payroll:read, made by someone who holds Pay rates and payroll.

422invalid_request
An unknown report_id, a parameter the report's span does not take, range beside from or to, from without to, a day or month in the future or more than 366 days back, from after to, or from and to more than 366 days apart.

Fix: Send only the parameters list-reports names for the report, within the last 366 days.

Possible on every endpoint
401missing_api_keyNo Authorization: Bearer header and no x-api-key header.
401invalid_api_keyThe key is unknown, revoked or expired (answered alike).
429rate_limitedOver the key's 60 units a minute, or over 30 unknown keys a minute from one network (an address; an IPv6 caller's /64).
500internal_errorSomething failed on our side. Nothing kept the Idempotency-Key.
